According to FOX Sports.com's Ken Rosenthal, Jon Garland's contract with the Dodgers is a one-year, $5 million deal that includes an option for 2012.
He'll also potentially get $3 million more based on bonuses between 150-190 innings pitched. Garland's option for 2012 will vest if he reaches a high innings total next season. He turned in a 3.47 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 200 frames for the Padres in 2010 with 136 strikeouts against 87 walks. Those numbers might have been helped by the pitching-friendly confines of Petco Park, but he's still an effective innings eater and should do well at the back of the Dodgers' rotation. Nov. 26 - 3:41 pm et

싱커볼러로 알려진 존 갈랜드는 2011년 샌디에이고에서 30게임 선발 14승 12패 3.46의 방어율과 190이닝을 투구했습니다.

다저스의 단장인 네드 콜레티가 이번 겨울에 계약한 3번째 선발투수입니다.(릴리, 구로다, 갈랜드)

존 갈랜드는 내년시즌 릴리, 구로다, 커쇼, 빌링슬리, 파디야 등과 로테이션을 이룰 것 같습니다.

MLB 닷컴에서는 그를 이닝 이터라고 표현을 했네요.

LA 다저스가 잘 잡은 계약이지 않나 싶습니다. 데려온 팀도 지구 라이벌팀인 샌디에이고고 가격도 적절한 것 같네요

A blast from the past, as the last time the former first-round pick was part of a major league organization was in 2007. We'd be shocked if he ever gets another major league at-bat.

We're always skeptical of anyone that can't stick with the Pirates. The former top prospect posted an 8.38 ERA in three relief appearances in 2010 for the Buccos before being designated for assignment. He'll attempt to work his way back to the majors with the Dodgers.

Reds signed LHP Dontrelle Willis to a minor league contract and are expected to use him as a reliever.
This is by no means an indication that LHP Arthur Rhodes is prepared to turn down his arbitration offer and elect free agency; the Reds are simply taking a flyer on the former phenom. Willis has a lot of work to do in the offseason if he expects to be on the team's opening day 25-man roster. The D-Train will likely be stationed at Triple-A Louisville and serve as an emergency minor league arm as he attempts to resurrect his career.

Twins signed LHP Phil Dumatrait to a minor league contract.
He'll get an invite to spring training. Dumatrait, 29, posted a 3.16 ERA over eight starts with Triple-A Toledo in the Tigers' organization this past season. He has a 7.06 ERA and 68/65 K/BB ratio over 109 2/3 innings in the big leagues, so we're not expecting much.

Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reports that Javier Vazquez has emerged as the Marlins' primary target.
Stark writes that the Marlins plan to use the money saved from the Dan Uggla trade on a starting pitcher. It would appear that those funds might be a bit limited after this week's addition of John Buck, but they apparently have Vazquez and Carl Pavano on their wish list. Pavano is reportedly seeking a deal similar to the three-year, $33 million contract Ted Lilly recently signed with the Dodgers, so Vazquez will come at a cheaper price off a down season. 말린스는 댄 어글라를 트레이드 하면서 생긴 돈으로 선발투수를 보강하고자 한다고 하며, 

그 대상이 바스케스와 칼 파바노라고 합니다.

칼 파바노는 얼마전 다저스가 릴리와 계약한 3년 3천3백만달러 정도의 계약을 원하기 때문에 바스케스가 상대적으로

더 싼 대가를 지불하고 영입할 수 있다고 합니다.

바스케스는 올시즌 3년 3천4백만달러의 계약이 종료되었으며, 다시 컴백한 양키스에사 부진하며 내셔널리그용이라는

좋지않은 얘기를 잠재우지 못했습니다.

워싱턴과, 콜로라도, 세인트 루이스, 컵스도 이 베테랑 투수에게 관심이 있다고 합니다.

개인적으로 카디널스 가면 굉장히 잘 할 것 같습니다..

Akinori Iwamura would like to stay in MLB next season instead of returning to Japan.
Iwamura was a solid player in his first three seasons in the states, but last year he fell flat on his face, batting .173/.285/.250 with two homers over 196 at-bats with the Pirates and A's. He'll almost surely have to sign a minor league deal and earn a roster spot during spring training.

아키노리 이와무라가 2011년 일본 복귀보다는 메이저리그에 남고 싶다고 했습니다.

메이저리그 4년차를 맞는 이와무라는 처음 2년간은 준수한 활약을.. 작년에는 부상으로 결장했었지만 부상전까지 좋은 활약을

했었습니다. 그러나 올시즌 피츠버그, 오클랜드에서 196타석에서 타율 .173을 기록하는데 그쳤습니다.

그가 메이저리그에 살아남기 위해서는 마이너리그 계약 및 스프링 트레이닝에서 좋은 모습을 보여야 할것이라고 합니다.

개인적으로는 이구치처럼 일본 복귀해서 남은 커리어 성공적으로 이어갔으면 좋겠습니다.

Declined their 2011 contract option on OF Magglio Ordonez.

Magglio Ordonez told Venezuelan baseball writer Augusto Cardenas of Diario Panorama that he is optimistic about returning to the Tigers next season.
"I want to stay in Detroit, obviously," said Ordonez. "I know the organization has been very good to me and the fans have treated me great.... I think there is a great chance to stay in Detroit, but let's see what happens." Ordonez, 36, underwent season-ending surgery on his right ankle in August, preventing his 2011 option to vest. The Tigers turned down the pricey option after the regular season, but general manager Dave Dombrowski recently said he would be open to re-signing Ordonez as a free agent this winter.

디트로이트 타이거즈가 외야수 매글리오 오도네즈의 2011년 1500만달러가 걸려있는 옵션을 거절했습니다.

300만달러의 바이아웃 옵션이 있으며.. 올시즌 연봉이 무려 1800만달러 였었고.. 옵션거부는 모두가 예상했던 부분입니다.

컨택 능력은 여전히 살아있지만 장타력 감소와 부상, 나이 문제로 앞으로 큰돈을 만지기는 어려워 보입니다.

팀의 단장인 데이브 돔브로스키는 오도네즈가 이번 겨울에 자유계약 선수로 다시 팀에 오기를 바란다고.. 오도네즈 자신도

디트로이트에 남고싶다고 말했습니다.

Reds general manager Walt Jocketty told John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer that the $11 million option on Bronson Arroyo for next season will "definitely" be picked up.

2010년 33살의 나이로 17승 10패 방어율 3.88의 성적을 거두며, 본인 커리어 최고의 승수를 올리는 해를 보냈습니다.

2010년 연봉은 1100만달러 였습니다.

피홈런이 많은 타입이기는 하지만 신시테니 홈구장의 파크팩터 감안하면 매년 꽤 괜찮은 성적과 200이닝 이상의 이닝소화능력 등

나쁘지 않은 옵션 실행이라고 생각됩니다.

신시네티는 현재 필리델피아와 디비전시리즈 스윕위기에 몰려있는데, 분발해서 5차전까지 갔으면 좋겠습니다.

끝장승부까지 가야 중립팬은 재미있습니다.

SAN DIEGO -- Dave Roberts is returning to the field as first base coach of the San Diego Padres.

The former major leaguer will move over from his current role as a special assistant in the baseball operations department.

Roberts said he developed a rapport and mutual respect with manager Bud Black, "and his offer to me was huge."

"Ultimately it was too good of an opportunity to pass up," Roberts said. "I look at the past season and how much fun I had with the players and working with staff. It's an opportunity to be more hands on. It's exciting."

During last spring training, Roberts worked with the Padres on their baserunning techniques and worked with the outfielders.

Roberts said he'll bring to his job "just the knowledge of playing and also being on the bases, just relating to these guys. I've lived it, I've had good times, I've had tough times. I just want to bring the experience as well as the energy and passion that I have for the game. I'd like to believe that I can convey that to the players and I'd like to think they'd be better for it."

Roberts is best known for his stolen base for Boston in Game 4 of the 2004 AL championship series against the New York Yankees that sparked the Red Sox to an elusive World Series championship.

Roberts has recently battled Hodgkin's lymphoma, undergoing chemotherapy and then radiation treatments.

He believes he has it beaten.

"All my scans are clear," he said.

He played 10 seasons in the majors for Cleveland, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston, San Diego and San Francisco. The speedy outfielder retired after 2008 and worked in television last year for the Red Sox.

Roberts was a career .266 hitter with 243 steals.

He replaces Rick Renteria, who will become the bench coach. Former bench coach Ted Simmons is leaving to pursue a managing job or return to scouting.

로버츠는 2008년을 끝으로 은퇴 후 구단의 특별 보좌역으로 있었습니다.

2004년 보스턴 레드삭스의 일원으로 월드시리즈 우승에 기여하기도 한 로버츠는 림프종을 앓기도 하였으며, 

선수생활동안 클리브랜드, LA 다저스, 보스턴 레드삭스, 샌이에이고 파드레스, 샌츠란시스코등에서 10시즌을 뛰었습니다.

파드레스의 현재 1루 베이스 코치인 릭 렌테리아씨는 벤치코치로 임명되며, 벤치 코치였던 테드 시몬스는 스카우팅쪽으로

옮길 것이라고 합니다.

Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Rockies have not yet exercised Miguel Olivo's $2.5 million option for 2011.
Tracy Ringolsby of FOXSports.com said Tuesday morning that the option was picked up, so we'll have to wait and see which report proves correct.
