지극히 평범한 성적입니다.

박찬호 선수 텍사스 시절의 많이 봤었던 선수였는데요,

지금으로부터 한 3년정도 됬을까요. 갑자기 너클볼러로 변신한다고 선언을해서 이목을 끌었었는데요, 그 이후 팀 웨이크필드에게

너클볼을 배우기도 하면서 지난 2년간 시애틀과 미네소타에서 선발과 불펜을 오가며 인상적인 성적은 아니었지만 그렇게 나쁘지도 않은 성적을 냈었습니다.

올시즌은 뉴욕메츠와 마이너 계약을 맺고 트리플A에서 뛰다가 5월 19일자로 메이저로 승격되서 선발로 던지고 있는데요,

그런데, 성적이 많많치가 않습니다.


7게임 선발등판 6승 0패 2.33의 방어율

표본이 작아 앞으로 계속 이렇게 잘할지는 모르겠지만 현 상황이 고무적인이라고는 생각할 수 있는 수치입니다.

보스턴 레드삭스의 팀 웨이크필드의 너클볼은 느리지만 변화가 굉장히 심하다면 R.A 디키의 너클볼을 웨이크필드보다 스피드는

조금 빠르지만 변화는 조금 작습니다.

너클볼하면 제구력또한 중요한데 46.1이닝동안 14개 정도면 생각보다는 잘 되고 있는 것 같습니다.

Orioles optioned RHP Chris Tillman to Triple-A Norfolk.
Tillman surrendered 15 runs -- 14 earned -- in four starts with the O's and will leave behind an 0-3 record, an 8.40 ERA and a 2.20 WHIP. The 22-year-old right-hander needs to begin showing signs of progress or he will join a long line of pitching prospect busts in Baltimore.

Meredith was optioned to the minor leagues at the end of May after posting an 0-2 record, a 5.40 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP in 15 innings for the O's. He may draw some interest from reliever-desperate clubs.

Indians recalled RHP Joe Smtih from Triple-A Columbus.
A roster spot was cleared for Smith on Monday when struggling starter David Huff was optioned to the minor leagues. Smith has been doing quite well as a late reliever down on the farm, with a 2.09 ERA in his last 19 appearances, and will serve in middle relief for the Tribe.

Rincon was cleared to make room for Huston Street's return from the disabled list. The veteran right-hander has allowed one run over two appearances with the Rockies this season.

Bruney, who was signed to a minor league contract earlier this month, made only two relief appearances with Triple-A Nashville before being given his release. Perhaps he chose to seek an opportunity elsewhere.

The Athletics needed to clear a spot for Coco Crisp, so Patterson gets squeezed. The 27-year-old outfielder has a nice an intriguing power-speed combo, however he was batting just .204 with a 31/7 K/BB ratio over his first 103 at-bats this season.

Rangers activated OF Nelson Cruz from the 15-day disabled list.
As expected. Cruz has been on the disabled list since May 29 due to a left hamstring strain. He returns to a .327/.405/.729 triple-slash to go along with 10 home runs and 34 RBI.

Neal Cotts will miss the rest of the season due to hip surgery.
Cotts was already making his way back from Tommy John surgery, so this is obviously a pretty disappointing blow. The 30-year-old southpaw signed a minor league contract with the Pirates in January. He hasn't thrown a pitch in the majors since last May as a member of the Cubs.

Orioles acquired 1B Jake Fox from the Athletics for RHP Ross Wolf.
Fox was designated for assignment by the A's last week after posting a dreadful .214/.264/.327 batting line over his first 98 at-bats. He's shown flashes of power in the past and the O's like his versatility, but he's probably not going to be relevant this year in most fantasy leagues. Ross Wolf is a 27-year-old reliever who was buried in the Orioles' farm system.

팍스는 오프시즌에 컵스에서 오클랜드로 영입된 선수로서 포수,1루수,3루수,외야수등 여러 포지션을 소화하고, 장타력도 갖추어서

기대가 되었지만, 올시즌 98타수에서 2할1푼4리를 치는데 그쳤었으며, 다른 뉴스에서는 게럿 앳킨스가 시원하게 말아드시고 계신

1루수 자리에서 어느정도 출전할 것 같다고 합니다.

더불어 팍스를 데려옴으로서 오클랜드로 보낸 로스 울프라는 우완투수는 지난시즌부터 볼티모어 마이너리그 에서 뛰었었고

그전에는 플로리다에서 지명되어서 계속 뛰었었습니다.

메이저 통산성적은 14게임 방어율 11.68의 기록(2007년)

올시즌은 25게임 구원등판 38.1이닝동안 2.11의 방어율을 기록했습니다.

Indians optioned LHP David Huff to Triple-A Columbus.
A corresponding roster move will be made before Tuesday's game. Huff overstayed his welcome in the big leagues, posting a dreadful 2-9 record, 34/30 K/BB ratio, 6.04 ERA and 1.69 WHIP in 13 starts for the Indians. The 25-year-old left-hander will work on some things down on the farm and could rejoin the Tribe in a few weeks if he begins to show improvement.

두 선수중 한명이 승격된다면 원래 허프의 선발등판 차례인 금요일(한국시간 토요일) 신시내티전에 선발 출전할 것이라고..

한편 MLB.COM 인디언스 홈페이지 에서는 추신수와 컨즈가 올스타에 뽑힐 수 있게 투표하라고 메인에 뽑아놨더군요

T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports that the Rangers have inquired about acquiring a starting pitcher, including Cliff Lee of the Mariners and Roy Oswalt of the Astros.
The club has not confirmed their interest in any single player, but acknowledge that they have been active in trade talks. "We've had some preliminary discussions with clubs," said Rangers assistant general manager Thad Levine. "But to compel teams to move this far ahead of the [July 31st] Trade Deadline, it would take a very attractive package. We're still in the inventory stage and the information-gathering stage rather than the execution phase." There are some obvious financial constraints in the way of a potential deal right now, but there's little doubt that the Rangers have all the pieces necessary to acquire a front-line starting pitcher at the deadline.

MLB닷컴 셜리반에 보고서에 의하면 텍사스 레인저스가 시애틀의 클리프 리, 휴스턴의 로이 오스왈트에 대하여 문의를 했다고 합니다.

특정 선수에 대하여 관심을 구체화하지는 않았지만 트레이드 협상에 적극적인 의사가 있다고 하며

이에 대해 구단 내부에서 토론을 나누었다고 레인저스 구단의 단장 보좌역 테드 레빈이 말했습니다.

현재 콜비 루이스와 CJ 윌슨을 제외하면 좋지 않습니다.

거액을 준건 아니었으나 기대를 가지고 데려온 리치하든은 제구도 안되고 홈런도 많이 맞고 있는 실정..

최근에는 맷 해리슨 대신 토미 헌터가 선발로 나오고 있는 것 같습니다.

Pirates designated 2B Akinori Iwamura for assignment.

Iwamura was an odd fit in Pittsburgh from the start. He lost the starting second base job upon Neil Walker's promotion from Triple-A Indianapolis last month and batted just .182/.292/.267 with two home runs and nine RBI in 165 at-bats with the Bucs. The Pirates will do their best over the next 10 days, but it's unlikely they will be able to find a taker for the prorated portion of his $4.85 million salary for the remainder of this season.

Athletics signed RHP Jamey Wright; optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento.

The Indians designated Wright for assignment in early June after he opened the season with a 5.48 ERA and a 1.59 WHIP over 18 relief appearances. He could eventually serve as a middle reliever for the Athletics.

As expected, Schlichting will take the place of the injured Chad Billingsley on the 25-man roster. The 25-year-old right-hander earned his first ML victory with four scoreless innings of relief in an extra-inning with over the Diamondbacks earlier this month. He has a 4.29 ERA and 1.40 WHIP over 19 relief appearances with Triple-A Albuquerque this season.

Vargas was released by the Brewers earlier this month after posting a 7.32 ERA over 19 2/3 innings. The 31-year-old right-hander had a 1.64 ERA over eight relief appearances with the Dodgers last season. He's scheduled to start for Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.

Diamondbacks purchased the contract of RHP Sam Demel from Triple-A Reno.

Demel was acquired from the A's on Tuesday for outfielder Conor Jackson and is expected to bring some amount of consistency to the D'Backs' scuffling bullpen. He had a 1.26 ERA and six saves this season for the A's Triple-A affiliate and will operate in middle relief for Arizona.

Angels placed INF Maicer Izturis on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left forearm.

Izturis was originally penciled into Wednesday's starting lineup, but the stiffness in his forearm turned out to be a strain and he could miss up to three weeks. With Erick Aybar also sidelined, look for Brandon Wood's playing time to shoot up. Robb Quinlan was also recalled from the minors.

Pirates GM Neal Huntington indicated Sunday that third base prospect Pedro Alvarez could be promoted to the majors this week.
The call-up would move Andy LaRoche to a utility infield role. Alvarez, then, would start at third base. "Our [initial] feel was closer to the end of the month, but Pedro has responded well to the challenge of these other two guys going up," Huntington said Sunday. "Sometimes, players can push those timetables forward because of adjustments they make." Alvarez, 23, has hit .285/.370/.549 with 13 homers and 52 RBI this season in 64 games for Triple-A Indianapolis. He's worth grabbing in mixed leagues.

Josh Beckett (back) played catch from 90 feet on Sunday.
He's progressing nicely. Beckett will next move out to 120 feet before tossing a bullpen session. He posted a 7.29 ERA and a 1.66 WHIP prior to the injury, but hopefully the time off will get him back on track.

Angels signed RHP Daniel Cabrera to a minor league contract.
Cabrera was given his release by the White Sox during spring training. The 29-year-old right-hander was 0-6 with a 6.00 ERA and 1.98 WHIP in nine starts and six relief appearances between the Nationals and Diamondbacks last season. There's just not a lot to like about Cabrera at this point, especially if he can't find the velocity he lost last season.

Joe Nelson, who was designated for assignment on Friday, said he may retire should he clear waivers.
"I'll be going to the beach with my kids and the wife and trying to be a real dad for a couple of days," said Nelson. "I'm sure Monday I'll pick up a baseball and throw it around, but for the next couple of days I'm going to enjoy life and not being a baseball player for a couple of days." Nelson posted a 9.72 ERA over eight appearances with the Red Sox.

Dodgers signed RHP Kiko Calero to a minor league contract.
Calero was released by the Mets last month after posting a 10.59 ERA and 1.94 WHIP over 10 appearances with Triple-A Buffalo. There have been whispers about a potential injury dating back to the winter, but that apparently wasn't enough to scare the Dodgers off.
