A source confirms to Jeff Fletcher of AOL Fanhouse that the Giants are interested in Scott Podsednik.
As Fletcher astutely points out, the two sides reportedly agreed on prospects for David DeJesus before his thumb injury, so they may be able to make progress on a deal rather quickly. He'd be a pretty nice fit in left field.

Tracy Ringolsby of FOXSports.com reports that the Rockies "continue to talk" with the Marlins about infielder Jorge Cantu.
Like the Rangers, who also have interest in Cantu, the Rockies are looking for a right-handed run-producer. Cantu has hit .260/.308/.410 this season with 10 home runs and 54 RBI in 366 at-bats. Moving him would allow the Marlins to free up playing time for recently-recalled prospect Logan Morrison.

A source told FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal on Monday that the Cubs are willing to eat some of Kosuke Fukudome's remaining salary in a trade.
Rosenthal's source says that Cubs GM Jim Hendry and Co. would take care of part of the $4 million that Fukudome is owed this season and even part of the $13.5 million that he is owed in 2011. The Japanese import has hit just .257/.365/.402 in two-plus major league seasons and he's batting only .253/.356/.410 over 229 at-bats this year. Few teams have interest currently.

팍스스포츠 닷컴 켄 로젠탈에 의하면 시카고 컵스는 후쿠도메의 잔여연봉을 부담해서라도 트레이드 하고자 한다고 합니다.

후쿠도메의 올시즌 잔여연봉은 400만달러, 내년시즌 연봉은 1350만달러 입니다.(내년 계약 만료)

컵스의 제너럴 매니저 짐 핸드리는 올시즌과 내년시즌 연봉의 일부를 부담하겠나고 말했습니다.

소수의 팀들이 관심이 있다고 하네요. ㄷㄷㄷ

후쿠도메 덕분에 당분간 일본인 타자들이 거액을 받고 미국으로 가는일은 없을 것 같습니다.

As expected, Gary Matthews Jr. has exercised his right to opt out of his contract with the Reds.
The outfielder had the clause included in his contract so that he could become a free agent if he wasn't called up to the major by July 24. He was hitting pretty well at Triple-A Louisville and will now look to catch on with another team.

Rockies activated RHP Taylor Buchholz from the 60-day disabled list.
Buchholz hasn't pitched since 2008 while recovering from Tommy John surgery. He pitched extremely well that year in a relief role with the Rockies, but the right-hander didn't fare too well in his rehab outings and should be left on the waiver wire until he shows he's regained his old form.

콜로라도 로키스의 우완투수 테일러 벅홀츠가 60일자 부상자 명단에서 복귀했습니다.

타미 존 수술을 받았었던 벅홀츠는 2008년 이후 투구한적이 없다고..

Yankees activated RHP Sergio Mitre from the 15-day disabled list.
Mitre, who has been out with an oblique injury, will start Saturday for the Yanks and looks to remain in the rotation for a few weeks while Andy Pettitte is on the DL. The right-hander held a 4.61 ERA in his rehab starts but did strike out 16 while walking only two over 13 2/3 innings.

The Padres putting Latos on the DL was a little fishy from the beginning, as most thought they were just wanting to rest their young right-hander and using the DL as a means to get an extra roster spot. Nevertheless, he's back and you should start him with confidence Saturday against the Pirates.

Cardinals activated OF Ryan Ludwick from the 15-day disabled list.
Ludwick has been out since June 25 with a calf injury. He had a double and a pair of home runs in nine at-bats for Triple-A Memphis during his rehab assignment, so it appears that the outfielder is OK to stick back in your lineup immediately. The Cardinals will welcome him back after getting shut out Friday for the second straight game, which is the first time that's happened during the Tony La Russa era.

Rangers placed C Matt Treanor on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right posterior cruciate ligament.
Treanor suffered the knee injury during Friday's game against the Angels and will probably be out until the end of August. Taylor Teagarden has been recalled from the minors and will serve as the Rangers' backup catcher. Treanor, 34, was batting .225/.304/.352 through 182 at-bats.

Marlins recalled RHP Chris Volstad from Triple-A New Orleans.
Volstad will return to the Marlins' starting rotation on Sunday against the Braves. He's posted a 4.78 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP in 17 big league starts and probably shouldn't be trusted in most fantasy leagues.

Ben Sheets has re-injured his elbow and is headed to the DL.
Sheets missed the end of the 2008 season and all of 2009 with an elbow injury, so obviously this is bad news. The right-hander said his elbow has been swollen the last two or there starts. He's not sure how much time he'll miss, saying that it could range from "it's nothing," and he just misses a bit of time on the DL, to he could be done for the season. 오클랜드 애슬래틱스의 밴 시츠가 팔꿈치 부상으로 부상자 명단에 등재되었습니다.

2008년과 시즌 말과 2009년을 팔꿈치 부상으로 날려버렸었던 시츠에게는 나쁜 뉴스입니다.

올해 오클랜드와 1년 1000만달러 계약중이며 오클랜드는 포스트시즌 진출이 쉽지 않아 간간히 트레이드 루머도 있었는네

자세한 상태는 지켜봐야겠지만 트레이드는 힘들 것으로 보여집니다만 가장 중요한건 선수 본인의 건강입니다.

밀워키에서 4번의 올스타에 선정되었습니다.

Athletics signed catcher Kurt Suzuki to a four-year, $16.25 million contract with a club option for 2014.
So, it wasn't an extension as initially reported. Instead, his 2010 contract was torn up and replaced. Susan Slusser reports that the vesting option, which takes the place of his first year of free agency, kicks in if he plays somewhere around 110-120 games in 2013. 올시즌 연봉은 42만달러 였습니다.

계약이 종료될쯤이면 자연스럽게 맥스 스태시가 올라와서 교체되는걸 봤으면 아주 좋은 현상일듯 싶습니다.


맥스 스태시는 작년 드래프트때 4라운드 최고 계약금액인 150만달러를 받고 입단한 고등학교 출신 포수입니다.

올시즌 싱글 A에서 극악의 선구안을 보이고 있습니다. ㄷㄷㄷ

데이비드 데헤수스가 어제 양키스와의 경기에서 지터에 타구에 맞아 교체가 되었었는데 오른쪽 엄지손가락 인대가 찢어져 수술을

받을 것 이라고 합니다.

수술을 받게 됨으로서 시즌 아웃이 유력하며 올시즌 페이스가 좋았던 데헤수스 였기에 큰 실망을 했을거라고 합니다.

약 10주정도의 재활기간이 필요할것이라고 MLB닷컴에는 거론이 되었네요.

올시즌 타/출/장 .318/.384/.443을 기록했으며, 그의 부상으로 인한 자리는 알렉스 고든이 소화할 것으로 보입니다.

Reds signed RHP Jason Isringhausen to a minor league contract.
The Reds offered Isringhausen a contract after watching him throw on Tuesday. He'll report to Triple-A Louisville. Izzy last pitched in the majors in June of 2009 with the Rays before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He's a longshot to contribute on the big league level.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Yankees, Phillies and Twins are also interested in Diamondbacks starter Dan Haren.
The Cardinals and Tigers have also been linked to the Arizona right-hander in the past week. Haren, 29, has fanned a National League-leading 141 batters this season in 141 innings and is under contract through 2012 with a club option for 2013. Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Mets have discussed Octavio Dotel of the Pirates and Scott Downs of the Blue Jays as possibilities to upgrade their bullpen.
According to the report, the Mets are "disenchanted" with most of the starting pitchers on the trade market and are currently more focused on relievers. Dotel, a former Mets' farmhand, has a 4.62 ERA and 20 saves in 38 appearances with the Pirates this season. Downs, a left-hander, has a 2.52 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 39 1/3 innings with the Jays.

팍스 스포츠 닷컴의 켄 로젠탈과 폴 모로시에 따르면 뉴욕 메츠가 피츠버그의 옥타비오 도텔과 토론토의 스캇 다운스를 보강하여

불펜을 업그레이드 시키고자 한답니다.

도텔은 올시즌 마무리 투수로 20세이브 4.62의 방어율을 기록했으며 다운스는 39 1/3이닝동안 2.52의 방어율을 기록했습니다.



Jeff Fletcher of AOL Fanhouse reports that Diamondbacks reliever Chad Qualls is on the Mets' shopping list.
Maybe they were impressed when he gave up one run on two hits and a walk on Monday night? Qualls has been positively awful all season long, posting an 8.35 ERA in 39 appearances, but he has arguably been one of the most unlucky pitchers in all of baseball. He hardly instills confidence at this point, but he could likely be had for next to nothing.
