Giants signed RHP Jeff Suppan to a minor league contract.

Suppan still has to make the team out of spring training to trigger his $1 million salary, and that's not going to be an easy feat. The Giants are already locked into five rotation candidates and they don't necessarily have an opening in the bullpen. On top of that, Suppan posted a miserable 5.06 ERA and 1.56 WHIP last season and turned 36 years old earlier this month.

수판은 스프링 트레이닝 전까지 자신에게 1백만달러의 급여를 지불해줄 팀을 찾고있으나, 쉽지 않을 것이라고 합니다.

자이언츠는 이미 린스컴-케인-범가너-지토-산체스등으로 이어지는 5인 선발 로테이션이 잘 구축되었기 때문에, 수판이

선발투수로 들어갈 수 있는 확률은 별로 없어보입니다.

2007년 밀워키 브루어스와 4년 4200만달러의 계약을 맺었으나, 돈 값을 못하면서, 시즌중에 방출 후 세인트루이스에서 시즌을

마감했습니다.

밀워키는 이 당시 왜 수판과 저런 계약을 했는지 모르겠네요. 커리어를 봐도 저정도 계약을 안겨줄 선수는 아닌 것 같은데..
