The deal buys out the final two years of Lindstrom's arbitration-eligibility at $2.8 million this season and $3.6 million in 2012. The 30-year-old posted a poor 4.39 ERA and 1.65 WHIP in an active 2010 season for the Astros, but the Rockies liked him enough to trade two minor leagues for him this winter and will use him as a setup man for the next two years at least.
