Chris Carter and Jeff Larish will be promoted from Triple-A Sacramento to join the A's on Monday, according to a CSNBayArea.com report.
Carter is the big story. Acquired from Arizona in the original Dan Haren trade, he is batting .262 with 27 home runs and 89 RBI in Triple-A this season (he hit .329/.422/.570 with 28 homers and 115 RBI between Double-A Midland and Sacramento last season). Carter will likely replace the injured Daric Barton at first base for the time being in Oakland and has intriguing fantasy potential as a young slugger. He was named the organization's top prospect by Baseball America over the winter. Larish, meanwhile, was claimed off waivers by the A's from the TIgers in late July and is nothing more than bench depth.

이번 승격은 팀의 주전 1루수 데릭 바튼에게 부상이 발생하여 이루어졌다고..(어차피 9월에 승격되겠지만..)

크리스 카터는 젊고 파워 포텐셜이 있는 선수로서 판타지 가치가 있을것이라고 합니다.

오클래드는 카터의 콜업과 함께 디트로이트에서 웨이버 공시된 1루수 제프 라리쉬를 영입하고 트리플 A 새크라멘토로 보냈습니다.

간만에 오클랜드에서 나오는 슬러거라서 무진장 기대됩니다.

The Athletics have moved prospect slugger Chris Carter to the outfield.
"We moved Chris to the outfield because Daric Barton has really established himself at first base," said Athletics assistant general manager David Forst. "We figured it wouldn't hurt. ... There's not a big, grand plan." Carter, 23, is batting .258/.362/.521 with 25 homers and 80 RBI for Triple-A Sacramento this season. It sure sounds like they are prepping him for a September call-up.

오클랜드의 부단장 데이빗 포스트는 메이저에서 데릭 바튼이 잘 하고 있기때문에 외야수로 전향시킬 것이라고 합니다.

크리스 카터는 오클랜드의 탑 유망주 선수로 올시즌 트리플 A에서 타율 .258 홈런 25 80타점을 기록중이었으며, 9월 확장 로스터때

메이저리그로 승격될것이 확실한 선수입니다.

최근 8월 4일에 벌어진 트리플 A 경기 박스스코어 확인해보니 자신이 계속 출장하던 1루가 아닌 좌익수로 출전했습니다.

좌우투수 성적이 괜찮은 편이고, 여기에 7월에만 홈런 9개를 쳤으며 8월에도 페이스가 매우 좋습니다. 

오클랜드에서 오랜만에 나오는 슬러거 유망주라서 아주 많이 기대가 되네요.

카터가 올라온다면 현재 부상중인 라이언 스위니가 자리를 빼앗길 가능성이 높아 보입니다.

Ben Sheets has re-injured his elbow and is headed to the DL.
Sheets missed the end of the 2008 season and all of 2009 with an elbow injury, so obviously this is bad news. The right-hander said his elbow has been swollen the last two or there starts. He's not sure how much time he'll miss, saying that it could range from "it's nothing," and he just misses a bit of time on the DL, to he could be done for the season. 2008년과 시즌 말과 2009년을 팔꿈치 부상으로 날려버렸었던 시츠에게는 나쁜 뉴스입니다.

올해 오클랜드와 1년 1000만달러 계약중이며 오클랜드는 포스트시즌 진출이 쉽지 않아 간간히 트레이드 루머도 있었는네

자세한 상태는 지켜봐야겠지만 트레이드는 힘들 것으로 보여집니다만 가장 중요한건 선수 본인의 건강입니다.

Orioles optioned RHP Chris Tillman to Triple-A Norfolk.
Tillman surrendered 15 runs -- 14 earned -- in four starts with the O's and will leave behind an 0-3 record, an 8.40 ERA and a 2.20 WHIP. The 22-year-old right-hander needs to begin showing signs of progress or he will join a long line of pitching prospect busts in Baltimore.

Meredith was optioned to the minor leagues at the end of May after posting an 0-2 record, a 5.40 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP in 15 innings for the O's. He may draw some interest from reliever-desperate clubs.

Indians recalled RHP Joe Smtih from Triple-A Columbus.
A roster spot was cleared for Smith on Monday when struggling starter David Huff was optioned to the minor leagues. Smith has been doing quite well as a late reliever down on the farm, with a 2.09 ERA in his last 19 appearances, and will serve in middle relief for the Tribe.

Rincon was cleared to make room for Huston Street's return from the disabled list. The veteran right-hander has allowed one run over two appearances with the Rockies this season.

Rangers activated OF Nelson Cruz from the 15-day disabled list.
As expected. Cruz has been on the disabled list since May 29 due to a left hamstring strain. He returns to a .327/.405/.729 triple-slash to go along with 10 home runs and 34 RBI.

Neal Cotts will miss the rest of the season due to hip surgery.
Cotts was already making his way back from Tommy John surgery, so this is obviously a pretty disappointing blow. The 30-year-old southpaw signed a minor league contract with the Pirates in January. He hasn't thrown a pitch in the majors since last May as a member of the Cubs.

Orioles acquired 1B Jake Fox from the Athletics for RHP Ross Wolf.
Fox was designated for assignment by the A's last week after posting a dreadful .214/.264/.327 batting line over his first 98 at-bats. He's shown flashes of power in the past and the O's like his versatility, but he's probably not going to be relevant this year in most fantasy leagues. Ross Wolf is a 27-year-old reliever who was buried in the Orioles' farm system.

볼티모어 오리올스가 얼마전에 오클랜드에서 지명할당 되었던 제이크 팍스를 우완투수 로스 울프라는 선수를 주고 영입했습니다.

팍스는 오프시즌에 컵스에서 오클랜드로 영입된 선수로서 포수,1루수,3루수,외야수등 여러 포지션을 소화하고, 장타력도 갖추어서

기대가 되었지만, 올시즌 98타수에서 2할1푼4리를 치는데 그쳤었으며, 다른 뉴스에서는 게럿 앳킨스가 시원하게 말아드시고 계신

1루수 자리에서 어느정도 출전할 것 같다고 합니다.

더불어 팍스를 데려옴으로서 오클랜드로 보낸 로스 울프라는 우완투수는 지난시즌부터 볼티모어 마이너리그 에서 뛰었었고

그전에는 플로리다에서 지명되어서 계속 뛰었었습니다.

메이저 통산성적은 14게임 방어율 11.68의 기록(2007년)

올시즌은 25게임 구원등판 38.1이닝동안 2.11의 방어율을 기록했습니다.
