Ben Sheets has re-injured his elbow and is headed to the DL.
Sheets missed the end of the 2008 season and all of 2009 with an elbow injury, so obviously this is bad news. The right-hander said his elbow has been swollen the last two or there starts. He's not sure how much time he'll miss, saying that it could range from "it's nothing," and he just misses a bit of time on the DL, to he could be done for the season. Athletics signed catcher Kurt Suzuki to a four-year, $16.25 million contract with a club option for 2014.
So, it wasn't an extension as initially reported. Instead, his 2010 contract was torn up and replaced. Susan Slusser reports that the vesting option, which takes the place of his first year of free agency, kicks in if he plays somewhere around 110-120 games in 2013. 올시즌 연봉은 42만달러 였습니다.

계약이 종료될쯤이면 자연스럽게 맥스 스태시가 올라와서 교체되는걸 봤으면 아주 좋은 현상일듯 싶습니다.


맥스 스태시는 작년 드래프트때 4라운드 최고 계약금액인 150만달러를 받고 입단한 고등학교 출신 포수입니다.

데이비드 데헤수스가 어제 양키스와의 경기에서 지터에 타구에 맞아 교체가 되었었는데 오른쪽 엄지손가락 인대가 찢어져 수술을

받을 것 이라고 합니다.

수술을 받게 됨으로서 시즌 아웃이 유력하며 올시즌 페이스가 좋았던 데헤수스 였기에 큰 실망을 했을거라고 합니다.

약 10주정도의 재활기간이 필요할것이라고 MLB닷컴에는 거론이 되었네요.

올시즌 타/출/장 .318/.384/.443을 기록했으며, 그의 부상으로 인한 자리는 알렉스 고든이 소화할 것으로 보입니다.

Reds signed RHP Jason Isringhausen to a minor league contract.
The Reds offered Isringhausen a contract after watching him throw on Tuesday. He'll report to Triple-A Louisville. Izzy last pitched in the majors in June of 2009 with the Rays before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He's a longshot to contribute on the big league level.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Yankees, Phillies and Twins are also interested in Diamondbacks starter Dan Haren.
The Cardinals and Tigers have also been linked to the Arizona right-hander in the past week. Haren, 29, has fanned a National League-leading 141 batters this season in 141 innings and is under contract through 2012 with a club option for 2013. Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Mets have discussed Octavio Dotel of the Pirates and Scott Downs of the Blue Jays as possibilities to upgrade their bullpen.
According to the report, the Mets are "disenchanted" with most of the starting pitchers on the trade market and are currently more focused on relievers. Dotel, a former Mets' farmhand, has a 4.62 ERA and 20 saves in 38 appearances with the Pirates this season. Downs, a left-hander, has a 2.52 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 39 1/3 innings with the Jays.

Jeff Fletcher of AOL Fanhouse reports that Diamondbacks reliever Chad Qualls is on the Mets' shopping list.
Maybe they were impressed when he gave up one run on two hits and a walk on Monday night? Qualls has been positively awful all season long, posting an 8.35 ERA in 39 appearances, but he has arguably been one of the most unlucky pitchers in all of baseball. He hardly instills confidence at this point, but he could likely be had for next to nothing.

AOL 팬하우스 제프 플래쳐에 의하면 뉴욕 메츠가 애리조나 다이아몬드백스의 불펜투수 채드 퀄스에게 관심이 있다고 합니다.

퀄스는 불펜투수로서 좋은 커리어를 가지고 있으나 올시즌은 39게임 8.35의 방어율을 기록하며 부진에 빠진 상태입니다.

Athletics optioned LHP Cedrick Bowers to Triple-A Sacramento.
Bowers was cleared to make room for Tuesday's starter Dallas Braden. The 32-year-old left-hander has a 4.85 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 13 relief appearances in two stints with the A's this season.

Orioles optioned RHP Chris Tillman to Triple-A Norfolk.
Well, that was quick. The O's apparently saw enough after the 22-year-old right-hander was rocked for eight runs over 2 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rays on Monday night. Tillman now has a 7.92 ERA over six starts in the big leagues this season. He'll continue to hone his craft in the minor leagues, but this yo-yo act is getting pretty old. Mike Gonzalez or Kevin Millwood is expected to take his place on the roster.

Indians activated SS Asdrubal Cabrera from the 60-day disabled list.
Well, this is a pleasant surprise. Cabrera was originally scheduled to be activated from the disabled list Friday, however the Indians changed their minds after Cabrera was 2-for-4 with a solo home run for Double-A Akron on Monday night. Cabrera was batting .287/.322/.368 with one home run and seven RBI before going on the disabled list and is well worth adding in most formats.

Yankees placed LHP Andy Pettitte on the 15-day disabled list with a Grade 1 strain of his left groin.
Pettitte, because he's old and the strain is rather severe, is expected to miss the next four-to-five weeks. The Yankees will give his spot in the starting rotation to Sergio Mitre by this weekend -- probably Saturday. The 38-year-old Pettitte has posted an 11-2 record, 2.88 ERA and 1.20 WHIP this season and will be sorely missed both by the Yankees and his fantasy owners.

뉴욕 양키스의 좌완투수 앤디 패팃이 사타구니 부상으로 15일자 부상자 명단에 등재되었습니다.

Padres placed RHP Mat Latos on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 9, with a strained left side muscle.
Great timing. The Padres were looking for a way to limit the young right-hander's innings and he just happened to injure his side attempting to hold back a sneeze last Friday. The good news is that the Latos will be eligible to return on July 24.

Tom Krasovic of AOL Fanhouse hears that Adrian Gonzalez will seek eight years in his next contract.
The eight-year figure is significant among major league first baseman because that is the exact same length of the contract that Mark Teixeira received from the Yankees. The Padres probably wouldn't mind giving him the years, but if he wants $180 million, it's going to be very difficult to lock him up. Gonzalez remains under team control through 2011..

Chad Cordero has refused a minor league assignment and opted for free agency.
The M's cleared him off the 25-man roster in order to make room for left-hander Chris Seddon and right-hander Jamey Wright. Cordero, 28, posted a lousy 6.52 ERA over nine relief appearances after being promoted from Triple-A Tacoma last month. Some team will surely give him another shot, but we're not sure he has much left.

Phillies activated RHP Chad Durbin from the 15-day disabled list.
Durbin looked solid on a rehab assignment during the All-Star break and should be available immediately out of the Phillies' bullpen. He hit the disabled list back in late June with a 3.31 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP.

Braves activated OF Jason Heyward from the 15-day disabled list.
Heyward was given clearance from the Braves' medical staff on Thursday afternoon and will return to the Atlanta starting lineup on Thursday night against the Brewers. He had an .821 OPS, 11 home runs and 45 RBI before the injury and should obviously be activated in all fantasy leagues.

The Cardinals have signed general manager John Mozeliak to a three-year contract extension, according to Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Mozeliak signed a three-year contract with the club in October of 2007, so his current contract was set to expire after the 2010 season. The Cardinals have scheduled a press conference to announce further details. Mozeliak will face the challenge of his career in the next year or so, as he attempts to keep the game's best hitter, Albert Pujols, in St. Louis.

세인트 루이스 카디널스의 제너럴 매니저 존 모젤리악이 구단과 3년 계약 연장을 체결하였습니다.

1995년 세인트 루이스의 월트 자케티의 보좌역으로 부임한 모젤리악은 2007년 단장직에 올랐으며,

Buster Olney of ESPN.com hears that the Braves "continue to have interest" in Cody Ross of the Marlins.
According to Olney, the Marlins have also made infielder Jorge Cantu and left-hander Nate Robertson available for trade. The Marlins received good news on Cameron Maybin's shoulder this week, so assuming his troubles are behind him, they are much likely to include Ross in a possible trade. The 29-year-old outfielder is batting .282/.332/.415 with seven homers and 46 RBI this season. The power is down a bit, but Ross is an attractive trade because because he remains under team control through 2011.

ESPN 버스터 온리에 따르면 애틀란타 브레이브스가 플로리다의 외야수 코디 로스에게 관심이 있다고 합니다.

현재 플로리다는 내야수 호르헤 칸투와 왼손 선발요원인 네이트 로벗슨을 트레이드 시장에 내놓은 상태이며

이 루머에 배후에는 마이너에 내려가 있는 카메론 메이빈이 자신의 문제점을 극복하고 있다는 소식이 들리고 있습니다.

이 29살의 외야수는 올시즌 타율 .282  7홈런 46타점을 기록하고 있습니다.

로스의 올시즌 연봉은 4.45M으로 말린스 입장에서는 결코 적은 금액이 아니며, 애틀란타는 현재 헤이워드를 제외한 주전급 선수인

맥라우스와 멜키 카브레라가 전반기 극심한 부진을 겼었고, 코디 로스라면 적은 출혈로 보강할 수 있다는 점에서 관심을 

가지고 있는 것 같습니다.

또한 2011년까지 팀에서 계약 컨트롤이 가능하다고 합니다. (FA를 말하는듯..)


제가 구단주라면은 4.45M주고 코디 로스를 쓰느니 멜키와 맥라우스의 타격을 살리는데 힘을 쏟을 것 같습니다.
